Stainless Steel 1/2" Drive Sockets For All Sterile and Critical Environment Use
Brooklyn, New York. August 15, 2005.

Maintenance of any production equipment in sterile or critical environments requires tools designed to meet strict cleanliness requirements. Steritool, the world leader in stainless steel tools, continues to expand their line of tools designed specifically with sterile production needs in mind. This month, Steritool introduces 1/2" drive stainless steel deep sockets. Designed for applications that require longer reach and greater internal bolt clearance, these new six point sockets are 3 3/16" in overall length and available in inch sizes from 3/4" to 1 5/8"" and metric sizes from 19 mm to 32 mm. Like Steritool's 1/2" drive stainless ratchet and extensions, the sockets are manufactured from 17-4PH stainless steel and skillfully machined with the critical environment end user in mind. Internal surfaces are smooth and flat for ease of cleaning, and sharp edges are eliminated to reduce the risk of accidentally tearing a glove during use in a sterile environment. Constructed entirely from stainless steel, the sockets are designed for repeated sterilization through thousands of autoclave cycles. Since stainless steel is an homogenous material, no chrome plating is required on the surface and the risk of particulate generation and contaminants from exposed ferrous surfaces, as is common with regular industrial carbon steel sockets, are completely eliminated.

By responding to the needs of sterile manufacturing facilities worldwide, Steritool has established a formative role in implementing an effortless risk avoidant solution into standard operating procedures of sterile manufacturing worldwide. From its manufacturing facility in the United States, Steritool provides global distribution of their products from their large inventory. More information on the full line of Steritool stainless steel tools is available on their website: , or by calling 1 860 230 0012.
